2020 NEXTEUK International Conference: Brexit and European integration: Policy, political and legitimacy challenges
When: Thursday, September 10, 2020 - Friday, September 11, 2020, 12:00 PM - 6:30 PM
The Centre for European Research, a Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence at Queen Mary, University of London, is pleased to announce its first international conference "Brexit and European integration: Political, policy and legitimacy challenges" as part of the NEXTEUK Project on the future of UK-EU relations, co-funded by the Erasmus + Jean Monnet Programme.
The conference will gather academics from various disciplines and policy experts with a focus on the multi-faceted components and processes of Brexit from a European integration perspective.
The academic programme will be complemented by a keynote speech of Philip Rycroft (ex-Permanent Secretary at the Department for Exiting the European Union) and two roundtables (on the impact of COVID-19 on the EU-UK relations and on the future of freedom of movement), and will provide various networking opportunities and discussion fora between policymakers and academics at all stages of their career.
